PocketWhip is an Android app developed by Flick City (Suite 6814 17B Farnham Street Parnell Auckland 1052 New Zealand).

PocketWhip first became available on 13 Mar 2012. It is estimated that PocketWhip has been downloaded between 500000 and 1000000 times from the Play Store.

PocketWhip V4.0 requires the following permissions:

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Required to be able to access the camera device.

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows an application to read from external storage.

Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.

Allows access to the vibrator.

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Allows an application to write to external storage.
